How Chicago gets around on Divvy?

Divvy is Chicago’s new bike share program with about 4,000 bikes and 400 stations across the city. Primary purpose of the Divvy program is to provide Chicagoans with an additional transportation option to getting around the city. Divvy means Divide and Share and is a fun way to getting around.

In 2013, Divvy bikes traveled about 1.28 million miles, in about 261 thousand hours and made 759 thousand trips between different stations. Wow, that's lot of miles with smiles :)

Divvy riders are two types; members with annual passes who ride regularly, and casual riders or 24 Hour pass riders who wants to get around the city.

Check out my Divvy Viz as part of the Divvy Data Challenge.

Enjoy riding Divvy!

  1. KK, This is fantastic. While sometimes I prefer a "less is more" approach, this would be right at home front page of the Sunday paper. Nice use of all available data.
